We just had the BEST retreat ever!!!!! The room was great and having the quilt store right next door was fantastic.

Wonderful retreat! Joyce Franklin and her husband Fred spoiled us with their hospitality, good food, store specials, and a great, really bright sewing room. Let's do this again!!

I think I would go to more retreats and workshops if I didn't have to load up my heavy, nice machine. I'm considering a second machine that is light-weight. I would mainly do piecing and leave the quilting for my "good" machine. Any comments on the pros or cons of this and/or suggestions for a basic, inexpensive machine? Thanks,

I finally bit the bullet and purchased a small machine to carry around to classes and retreats. It works great. I hated breaking down my main machine and then having to re-assemble it. Besides, it was heavy. It works great for piecing, easy to transport and I just leave it in the traveling case. I will leaving the quilting for the bigger machine.
